Eunice’s love for science began at a young age, after she was introduced to it by her father during a difficult time in her childhood. β€œI was bullied a lot when in school. I would cry often, and I didn’t see myself being beautiful because of it. Girls would pull on my hair, and boys would spit on me while at the playground,” shares Eunice. β€œIt was very traumatic for me, but I say that my father introducing me to science was one of the things that saved me because it saved my self-esteem.” By assisting Eunice with science projects and experiments, Eunice’s father helped her to build her knowledge and confidence to enter into science fairs while being recognized as one of the smartest individuals in her classroom.
