Cancer, one of the most dreaded words in the English language, instantly brings on a feeling of dread and despair. As a society, we have been automatically conditioned to think that cancer is the ultimate death sentence. Traditional medicine has consistently given us the option of surgery, radiation, chemotherapy and the option to do nothing when cancer is in the latter stage and death is the last option.
The majority of individuals who are diagnosed with cancer are usaually unaware of the other side of cancer treatment. A holistic approach to cancer treatment is available and has been for many years but is rarely talked about. One of the major reasons that a holistic approach is frowned upon is because the vast majority of physicians believe that it is “quack science”. Generally, there has been more research advocating radiation and chemotherapy as opposed to a more holistic natural way to treat cancer.
It is important to understand a few key things about cancer:
We all have cancer cells. The body is an amazing piece of machinery. It recognizes these cells and eliminates them when they began to mutate.
Lumps and tumors are some of the symptoms of cancer.
Cancer is the result of a body being nutrient deficient .
This usually means that the body is overloaded with toxins and the immune system is in a state of duress.
Our anscestors had very active lifestyles. They were not exposed to fast foods or dinner from the microwave as our generation currently is now. Processed foods are packaged with preservatives that give them an extended shelf life. Usually the preservatives and the food itself is not “real” food. A high percentage of these foods are consided genetically modified organisms or GMOs, meaning it has been genetically modified in a laboratory.
It stands to reason, if we are not eating “real” food, ultimately our bodies pay the price in the form of cancer and other diseases.
The most important thing to remember if you have been diagnosed with cancer, is that this is not a death sentence. There are options for you to explore aside from radiation and chemotheraphy.
Did you know that in most cases a simple diet and lifestyle change has made all the difference between a person dying from cancer and surviving it?
Whole foods, meaning foods that have not been genetically altered are a great way to turn a toxic body into a healthy body. Fruits, vegeatbles, exercise and a great support system are the ingredients for beating cancer. Some of these alternative treatments encompass meditation and deep breathing and yoga. Massage is also an alternative element in eliminating toxins in the body.
The most important thing to take away from all of this, is to gain the knowledge, do the research and don’t be afraid to ask questions. Remember you are your strongest advocate for your health and you are ultimatley the deciding factor in how your treatment progresses.
