We’re loving this Summer Fruit Bowl Smoothie to keep us refreshed! This nutritious meal includes fruits, protein powder and healthy sweetener options that satisfy our taste buds and provide a boost of energy.

Another great thing about this recipe is that it also offers room for variety. This could be something that you throw together for breakfast. It may be a midday snack or even a part of your lunch. SUMMER FRUIT BOWL SMOOTHIE INGREDIENTS

1 cup of frozen dark cherry 
1 cup of frozen mix berries 
1 small ripe banana 
1 scoop of vegan protein powder (optional)
3 tablespoons of coconut water (more if needed) 
1 Tablespoon of agave or maple
*Feel free to switch out the above fruits for other options that you may prefer.

Fresh blueberries 
Coconut shreds
Slice Almonds 
*These are toppings I like. You can choose any others that you love.

DIRECTIONS

1. Place your frozen fruit and all other ingredients in a high-powered blender, then blend until smooth. If you need to add more coconut water, do it in tablespoon amounts until smooth. 

2. Pour smoothie into the bowl, then add your toppings. Drizzle a little agave on top, then enjoy.

The Summer Fruit Bowl Smoothie can a nice refresher during an outdoor gathering and can take the place of less healthier options. It can be also be a great recipe for the kids.
